[Iyrp-gcg] Cast Your Vote: Nominees for the FAO-Hosted IYRP Steering Committee

Dear Dr Arjjumend

I hope you are doing well.

It is unfortunate that you feel this way about the candidates, but the
candidates all met the criteria we set. They might have been involved at
global or regional levels, but all make valuable contributions at local
levels where pastoralists and rangelands are concerned.

Also, we have to commend them for putting up their hand and being willing
to take on additional responsibilities, knowingly that they will not be
compensated for their work.

As IYRP Global Alliance, we have taken an all inclusive approach and by no
means want to exclude anyone.

The process has been in development for a few weeks now, and I shared the
tentative nominee list with everyone. We did not receive any objections
then, so we are not able to entertain any objections now.

You are welcome to make any objections to the FAO when the final list of
nominees is sent to them, but those who the ISG has voted for will be the
candidates for the IYRP GA.
