Dear Igshaan,
Thank you for sharing the MoC with us.I have no objection against it.It is part of our goals to reach to other active parties around the world who share the principles and objectives of the IYRP coalition and support pastoralism and pastoralist.I hope an extra article added to ensure the identification , recognition , support and mobilization of grass root pastoralist organizations/communities in the region and to ensure their active involvement in the IYRP activities and beyond.

As we approach 2026, more and more institutions are expressing theirsupport for the IYRP. For some, more guidance is needed on how to support theIYRP through specific actions and for others, collaboration with IYRP has to beformalized. The draft Memorandum of Cooperation between the IYRP and the Framework Convention onthe Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians (Carpathian Convention),representing 7 countries in Central and Eastern Europe sharing the Carpathian Mountains, is in its final stages. The drafting process was led by Engin Yilmaz from theIYRP, and we seek your comments on the final draft before we as co-chairs can sign the MoC. 

 

May we have your comments as members of the IYRP GCG on the MoC with the Carpathian Convention by 25Sep 2023?
