Dear Igshaan,

I join my colleagues to support this initiative. I really have nothing to add to the content of the convention.
The only question I have will such convention remains valid after celebrating the IYRP in 2026?

Best regards,
Mounir

Subject: [Iyrp-gcg] MoC with Carpathian Convention

Dear GCG

As we approach 2026, more and more institutions are expressing their support for the IYRP. For some, more guidance is needed on how to support the IYRP through specific actions and for others, collaboration with IYRP has to be formalized. The draft Memorandum of Cooperation between the IYRP and the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians (Carpathian Convention), representing 7 countries in Central and Eastern Europe sharing the Carpathian Mountains, is in its final stages. The drafting process was led by Engin Yilmaz from the IYRP, and we seek your comments on the final draft before we as co-chairs can sign the MoC.

May we have your comments as members of the IYRP GCG on the MoC with the Carpathian Convention by 25 Sep 2023?

Kind regards
Igshaan
