[Iyrp-gcg] Welcoming new Chair of SA-RISG

Honoured GCG Members and Respected Maryam,
I invite your kind attention to one change in the team managing the affairs
of the South Asia region of the RISG {SA-RISG}. I had the pleasant duty of
working as Chair of the SA-RISG during the last more than two years [since
December, 2020]. And, I requested our teams to select/elect someone else as
Chair. Fortunately, Dr Arun Dixit agreed and our teams made a unanimous
decision to have him as Chair; relieving me by 31st March, 2023 just as I
had requested.

Dr Dixit is highly respected for his working on Biodiversity including
Rangelands and has wide experience as per the Bio-Data also attached for
perusal, please. If my learnings were more on pastoralists, Dr Dixit's
expertise on rangelands would help us all make a balanced emphasis towards
R and P.

SA-RISG has planned to meet on 3rd April, 2023 to welcome Dr Arun Dixit.
I, D K Sadana, happily continue to be a functional member of SA-RISG and
ready to take up any short-term tasks in regard with IYRP.

May I request GCG to kindly accept and update the change - as deemed fit.
