Dear IYRP GCG

We have thus far received only a third of the eligible votes from the GCG for new IYRP co-chairs and thus, I would strongly encourage you all to cast your vote before the deadline on 22 December 2023.

Kind regards
Igshaan
IYRP ISP co-chair

Dear IYRP GCG

We have received six nominations for the two co-chair positions for the IYRP ISG. This means that, including myself, there will be three IYRP co-chairs. The various roles and responsibilities of the co-chairs are contained within the Terms of Reference, which is attached.

You will be given the option to select your choice of two candidates who you think will be best suited for the positions. You also have the option just to elect one candidate, if you think that you cannot decide on your second choice. Lastly, you also have the option to not vote at all (thus abstaining). You are only allowed to vote once as an individual, and institutions that serve on the GCG should only allow one of its representatives to vote on its behalf.

The two candidates who receive the most votes will be the new co-chairs, provided that they obtained a simple majority of votes from the GCG. I, as the only current co-chair, will not vote but if there is a deadlock between two candidates, I will cast the deciding vote.

The deadline to vote is 22 December 2023.

Here are the candidates, and their CVs and motivations are contained in the attached folder:

 - Kaamankhuu Sodnom from Mongolia (Nominated by WAMIP)
- Burmaa Dashbal from Mongolia (Nominated by Serena Ferrari)
- Kakha Nadiradze from Georgia (Self nomination)
- Batbuyan Batjav from Mongolia (nominated by Francesca Pasetti)
- Enkhbat Sainbayar from Mongolia (nominated by Ariell Ahearn)
- CARLOS ENRIQUE MICHAUD LÓPEZ from Peru (nominated by Eric Chavez)

This is an important process for the IYRP ISP and we hope that all GCG members will take the time to elect the co-chairs of their choice.

The direct link to the voting poll will be sent by Engin Yilmaz very shortly.

Kind regards
Igshaan Samuels
IYRP ISP co-chair
