Dear GCG colleagues

It is hard to believe that we have achieved our goal of designating 2026 as
the IYRP! It has been really inspiring to see so many
congratulatory emails. Ann is now collecting them and will share them in
batches so as not to overload your inboxes.

With the designation of IYRP 2026, we are now in a new phase of our
collective work. We touched upon some issues at our last meeting that need
following up, and we need to look ahead too.  We would like to suggest the
following agenda for our upcoming meeting:

*1. Remarks from Mongolia (Munkhnasan)*










*2. Update from FAO (Gregorio, Veronique)3.  Continuity and Coordination of
ISG, GCG and RISGs = WAMIP letter; relations between ISG and future FAO
Steering Committee; RISGs and the 103 countries supporting IYRP; creation
of national committees; 4.  Action planning and financing : next steps for
regional action planning, global action planning, possibility of a global
trust fund 5.  Support from RISGs for countries to declare transhumance as
an "Intangible Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO (Francesca and Olivier)6. AOB*
