[Iyrp-gcg] IYRP2026 draft press release - pls respond by Wednesday (tomorrow)!

Dear all in the GCG,

As soon as UNGA approves the IYRP 2026, we want to issue a press release. Engin, Burcu, Maryam, Barbara and I have worked on this version. We now run it past all of you. If you have any suggestions for improvement, could you please email them tomorrow (Wednesday), as this is urgent. We are not sure exactly when the resolution on the IYRP will be discussed in the UNGA, but it could be any time after Wednesday. 

For the news editors, should we include a couple of simple explanations of ”rangelands” and “pastoralists”, e.g. from the IYRP flyer?
