Dear GCG

The Organizers of the Dana+20 workshop wish to ensure that their initiative supports the IYRP and are requesting the IYRP logo to be placed on it.

The Dana Declaration of 2002 has had a very significant impact over the years on ensuring positive perceptions of pastoralism internationally.  Dana +20 intends to "to reaffirm, redirect, and re-examine some of the stubborn biases that continue to influence mainstream sustainability, climate change, and development paradigms" about pastoralism. Through the partnership with WAMIP (a member of GCG) they expect that the Dana+20 workshop will be a vital step in the IYRP process by helping mobile pastoralists organize themselves to take full part in the activities leading up to and during the IYRP in 2026.

Please consider their request. If I do not receive any objections by this friday 21st January, then we will go ahead and send them the IYRP logo.
