[Iyrp-gcg] Comment on Working Technical Report on Enhancing Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Actions on Land in Africa

Dear GCG and RISGs in Africa


We received a request to comment on a *Working Paper Report on Enhancing
Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Actions on Land in Africa *from
FEFA (Future Ecosystems for Africa), which supports research to impact
conservation and development issues across the continent. One of its focus
areas is High-Level Engagement In National And Continental Development
Issues. This includes working with the African Group of Negotiators Expert
Support (AGNES) to craft a compelling Africa position for the UNFCCC that
centres African ecosystems and needs, and links to other global framework
negotiations such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The report
will feed into a series of meetings with negotiators and experts to work
towards a strong position before COP27 in Egypt in late 2022.


May I request that you and particularly those who have advanced knowledge
on rangelands in Africa kindly provide some feedback on this document by 18
Aug 2022? You can email your response directly to me and I will collate all
the reponses.
