Dear Jurgen,
Very sorry for this delayed reply as I was in the field trip for about 10 days on the alpine rangelands.
Attached please find the EAST Asia-RISG proposal.
Any suggestion from you will be highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Ruijun

主题: [Iyrp-gcg] YYRP fundraising strategy to reach out to pastoralists in remote areas.
Dear colleagues and friends,
As part of the GCG´s meeting held two days ago, one of the follow up items that we agreed to act upon immediately is to develop a strategy to raise funds to help to reach out to pastoralist groups in remote areas, to ensure their access to information as part of securing their timely and full participation throughout the IYRP process.
To this end, a committee was formed integrated by Anders, Hijaba and myself with the accompaniment of Maryam.
A proposal of this nature depends entirely upon your input. Hence, could you please send us by April 12th the needs you have for reaching out to key pastoralists groups in remote areas within your regions? Please consider focusing on mobility and mobile pastoralists, but don´t hesitate to also take into account pastoralists who use extensive native rangelands, but may not be as mobile. Thank you
The information we would much welcome related to your pastoralist groups in need is:
1. Name and overall size of the pastoralist group
2. Geographic distribution
3. Main activity that needs to be supported and how would be implemented
4. Amount required
5. Periodicity (permanent, seasonal, or event-based e.g. annual meeting, etc.)
With your input we will develop a draft rationale and concept package to share with you and once we have a final version we can then use to present to potential donor organizations. We are also exploring what donor organizations could be interested in supporting these outreach activities, so please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any suggestions that you would like us to approach. Thank you.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
IYRP outreach commission
Anders, Hijaba and Jürgen
