I am writing to encourage your participation in two important university-wide efforts currently underway: the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). As recently communicated by the Office of the Provost,
these surveys are a key priority for the university this semester, and I encourage you to review the message and additional details here:

The FSSE provides an opportunity for faculty to share perspectives on teaching practices, student engagement, and the educational experiences we create in our classrooms. At the same time, NSSE gathers critical feedback from our first-year and senior students
about their academic experiences, interactions with faculty, and overall engagement.</div>

Please take 15–20 minutes to complete the FSSE if you are teaching undergraduate students this term.

our students, programs, and campus community.</div>
