The workshop pertains to an <a href="https://new.nsf.gov/funding/initiatives/regional-innovation-engines">
NSF Regional Innovation Engines</a> proposal, for which a pre-proposal is currently pending with NSF. If the pre-proposal is invited to the full proposal stage, it will present opportunities for collaboration with colleagues in the colleges of Science, Engineering,
and Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences, as needed to address issues pertaining to the complete mining lifecycle. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
