<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">I, like many of you, was profoundly shocked and saddened to learn that the victim of yesterday’s shooting was Dr. Tom Meixner. Tom was a valued colleague, a talented mentor, and a friend to so many across
and beyond campus. I know that you all join me in extending condolences to his family. Tom was part of the search-and-hiring team that brought me to the University of Arizona in 2011, and I will always be grateful for that.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
