I am writing to encourage you to consider running for a Faculty Senate position, representing our College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. As the note below indicates, UA is holding a runoff election because seats were not filled during the general election.
There are two open spots for CALS faculty. This is a 2-year commitment (about 2 hours/month during the academic year). As a returning Senator, I can tell you that it's well worth the time to understand how the university works (and how it doesn't work),

a chance to weigh in on topics that affect us all </a>(recommend curricula, propose policies), and meet folks across CALS and the university, including our top administrators.</p>

Faculty Governance Elections page</a>, beginning on Monday, March 12, 2018 continuing through Friday, March 23, 2018.</p>
