<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">In short, we discussed 1) the Governor’s proposed budget and the possible impacts on the University and the students; 2) the meetings with ABOR; and 3) the meaning of Academic Freedom and perhaps changes that need
to be made at the UA to assure everyone is aware of our policy and guidelines. <o:p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">We also approved a class participation, attendance and administrative drop policy that included on-line courses and acceptance the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) as a Credit-by-Exam Option (in addition
to International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement exam scores). This give departments the option to accept the CIE as a credit-by-exam option for their degree certification.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Finally, concern was expressed that we do not have enough faculty participation in our faculty governance system. I encourage all that can, to participate as much as possible and please don’t forget to vote at
