Dear Colleagues,

Several of you have followed up with me regarding the email I sent on April 2 on NSF's requirement to disclose the use of Generative AI (GenAI) in research proposals (development and review).

I've been in communication with the Office of Responsible AI<https://responsibleai.arizona.edu/ORAI> here at UA about this issue, and I'm pleased to report that ORP has now created a webpage with guidance for researchers<https://research.arizona.edu/compliance/research-integrity-program/generative-ai-in-research> highlighting key ethical principles and examples for when and how to report AI use. This living webpage will continue to evolve as the research landscape develops their guidelines and structure.

Please contact Mariette Marsh (marshm at arizona.edu<mailto:marshm at arizona.edu>) with questions on this content or to share additional information to be added to this webpage.

Thanks,
Jon
