[Faculty] Lewis-Burke Visit to UA

Dear Colleagues,

I am resending the email below just to remind you of the three opportunities I previously mentioned that are occurring this week to connect with consultants to UA on funding opportunities related to your research programs.

In addition to the three that I had previously mentioned below (for tomorrow and Thursday), I wanted to highlight an additional opportunity that is coming up today (Tuesday) at 1:00 pm in ENR2 Room S210 pertaining to Community Health and Nutrition:


  *   Community Health and Nutrition (includes EFNEP but also what pivots might be happening around nutrition education and other chronic disease prevention efforts), Tues, Nov 4, 1:00-1:45 pm, ENR2 S210 (optional zoom link if you are unable to attend in person):  https://arizona.zoom.us/j/83560921396?from=addon)

The remainder is from my prior email sent on 10/22:

A team of experts from Lewis-Burke Associates (https://lewis-burke.com/), which provides consulting services to the UA, will be visiting the UA during the week of November 3 to meet with faculty and research staff, and to discuss our needs and their insights in the context of the continually evolving research funding landscape.

There are three in-person sessions on Wed (11/5) and Thurs (11/6) that are open to UA personnel. These three sessions have different foci, but all are relevant to CALES folks:


  1.  Environmental Science (carbon cycle, pollutants, exposure assessment, fire, etc.), Wed, Nov 5, 2:00-3:15 pm, ENR2 room S215
  2.  Water and Agriculture (writ broadly, with agriculture including crop production, forestry, rangelands, dominantly in water-limited environments), Wed, Nov 5, 3:30-4:30 pm, ENR2 S215
  3.  Life Sciences (human nutrition/wellness, microbial pathogens and disease, human microbiome, molecular toxicology, etc.), Thurs, Nov 6, 10:00-11:15 am, ENR2 room S107

Calendar invites for each of these three meetings are attached.

These will be information rich meetings.  Hope you can join one!
