[Faculty] Discussion on Federal Research Funding Issues

Dear ALVSCE Colleagues,

Over the past several weeks there have been many developments related to the federal research funding landscape.  We've had multiple communications through this listserv and a large number of small meetings to discuss specific projects that are impacted, etc.

To provide a forum for open discussion and sharing of information, I'm scheduling a Zoom meeting (details below) for next Friday (3/7) at 2 pm.

At that time, I'll provide a brief up-to-date assessment of federal funding issues, as well as some information on research directions likely to be pursued by the new administration. However, the main purpose is to have an open discussion of issues or questions that folks may have for faculty colleagues and administration.  While we are not likely to have answers to all questions and solutions to all problems in real time, it is important that we know what issues folks are facing so that we can work to address them as a follow up to the meeting.
