[Faculty] New Tool for Student Course Surveys - Exciting!

Good morning, CALS Faculty,

I just left a Zoom meeting on the new tool that has been developed to access and assess Student Course Survey results. You all must remember what it's like to wade through page after page (after page!) of survey results - well, you will no longer have to do that!

To get to your survey results (and they have been loaded through Fall 2022) - go into UAccess Analytics/Reporting, click on Dashboard at the top right, and click on Student Course Survey. This will take you to a short video explaining the new dashboard, then click on Instructor at the top left.

The next page will be your overall course results for Calendar Year 2022 (you can look at other years using the toggle at the top right). This page will tell you the enrollment, # of respondents, and the percentage of students that "agreed" with the questions (see core questions grouped at the bottom of the page). For more detailed response data, click on Courses-Classes Details at the top left.

To see the Student Comments, click on Comments at the top left. The comments are grouped by Term, so make sure you are selecting the Term that you want to see using the "Term Description" toggle.

What this dashboard does is regroups the Course Survey information into a streamlined report. You can download any or all parts of this report and attach it to your UA Vitae Annual Report.

For anyone involved in peer review of promotion dossiers, this new tool will reduce the number of pages of course survey data to a mere fraction of what they are now.
