Dear Colleagues:

As we approach the one-month mark since the start of the semester, I wanted to reach out with a warm welcome on behalf of ALVSCE Research Administration.  I also wanted to briefly share some information about two key events and one fabulous resource available to you.  While most of these resources could be thought of as aimed towards new faculty and staff exclusively, I am sure that they will also be appreciated by continuing colleagues looking for a refresher.

First, if you haven't done so already, please sign up for the September 20 and 21st Research Support Services Orientation organized and hosted by Research, Innovation, and Impact (RII). Second, save the date for our ALVSCE Research Workshop to be held on Thursday October 20th, 2022, from 9am to noon. This workshop will introduce grant proposal basics such as finding opportunities, preparing competitive submissions, and working with our our award-winning team of grant and contract managers<https://research.cals.arizona.edu/pre-award-process> to get your proposals submitted. In-person and virtual access will be provided.
