Good afternoon,

CALS is in the process of information gathering - and I am hoping that you can help.

What message would you like to relay to UA Administration about events that happened before the shooting on Wednesday? What would you like to relay about what you, or staff, or students, are feeling - or concerns or fears you may have - since last week? What are your ideas on how we can increase the security to faculty, staff, and students at UA? In the past 24 hours, we received an announcement from President Robbins that there will be a study initiated looking at campus security - CALS has a window of opportunity to participate in these efforts, and I think that we should make our voices heard.

Since last week I have spoken to quite a few of you and have learned about troubling past occurrences that either never got past the unit stage OR that didn't generate appropriate action at the administrative stage. But I am certain that there is more information that has not reached me yet. I am available via text or phone (520-404-8793), at this email address, or via Zoom. Please try to get any information to me before Friday if possible - I will compile this and will make certain that the CALS message is delivered to Administration.
