Are you a faculty or staff with a passion and know-how for broadening participation in STEM among minoritized students attending Hispanic Serving Institutions? Do you have equity-minded, evidence-based ideas for how to do this? NSF HSI IUSE may be of interest to you. In this session, Drs. Franco<https://hsi.arizona.edu/person/dr-marla-franco> and Coffey<https://research.arizona.edu/people/courtney-coffey-phd> will review the program’s funding priorities and submission types, examples of funded projects and how to apply for the institutional ticket to submit a proposal. (UArizona may only submit one proposal). Dr. Franco will also describe expectations for collaborating with the HSI Initiatives office<https://hsi.arizona.edu/person/dr-marla-franco> on your proposal, if selected for the ticket. The next NSF due date is August 25, 2021. Applications to apply for the UArizona ticket will be due April 28, 2021.

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.

Kim Patten<https://research.arizona.edu/people/kim-j-patten-ms>, Assistant Vice President of Research Development Services, will present and overview of the CAREER program at NSF and internal writing groups offered through RDS. A panel of UArizona faculty from varying directorates will generously share their experiences and answer live questions.
