Dear Colleagues,

There is growing evidence from my five-year review and our enterprise engagement and Cooperative Extension climate surveys that we have been very short on capacity when it comes to faculty issues since the last round of budget cuts.  We're stretched way too thin and not doing well enough.  Consistent with our Foundational Goal, to solve this problem I am creating the position of Assistant Dean for Faculty Advancement.

Positions like this exist in our peer enterprises and even in other colleges on campus.

If you are interested in making a real difference by focusing on our faculty as people, I encourage you to take a look at the attached position description. There will be full administrative support from the vice president's office.
