Please find below some information about an AAAS science communications workshop being offered this fall at B2.  There is no charge to participants; this is being sponsored by the College of Science, Biosphere 2, Haury and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.  The workshop organizers asked Dean Burgess to spread the word to CALS faculty.

AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) offers highly regarded communication-skills workshops that help scientists to be more effective in communicating about their science to a variety of public audiences. (http://www.aaas.org/pes/communicating-science-workshops)

We have arranged for AAAS to hold a workshop for UA faculty on the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 15 at Biosphere 2. The workshop can accommodate 50 people.
