The Mary Kay Foundation Translational Grant Program<http://arizona.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b6ba9388f9c749678c5f1628d&id=0c1e17f3ca&e=9deae42247> provides support for research for innovative grants for translational research in ovarian, uterine, breast or cervical cancer. Translational research is broadly defined as research that will provide a scientific link between laboratory research and the clinic.  Ultimately, such research would lead to improvement in diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, or treatment of the cancer.  The grant provides up to $100,000 (combined direct and indirect costs) for a two-year period.  Indirect costs may not exceed 15%. The UA may submit one proposal.

This is an invited competition; the selected applicant will be provided additional application information.

Important dates:

  *   College/Institute review internal deadline:  On or about November 23, 2015.  Please consult with your Dean’s/Director’s office for specific date.
  *   Office for Research & Discovery internal review deadline:  November 30, 2015.
  *   Sponsor deadline:  February 1, 2016.
Interested investigators are asked to submit a Limited Solicitation proposal to their deans for referral to the Office for Research & Discovery by the internal deadline. This proposal should include a 2-3 page description of the research project and an NIH-format biosketch (up to 4 pages, including Research Support).
