A reminder that Research Development Services' (RDS) National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (Career) Grant Preparation Program will host a NSF Program Officer Panel on Tuesday, March 10th.  This interactive session will feature recent NSF program officers, Beth Mitchneck<http://arizona.us8.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=b6ba9388f9c749678c5f1628d&id=1a2be07976&e=db7a664467>, Professor, School of Geography & Development and Suzanne Westbrook<http://arizona.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b6ba9388f9c749678c5f1628d&id=5e2b0edbe0&e=db7a664467>, Senior Lecturer and Associate Director, School of Information: Science, Technology, and the Arts.  The panel will provide an overview of program officer activities and guidelines for interacting with program officers, along with an opportunity for participants to ask questions.  Given this unique opportunity to interface with recently returned program officers, we encourage all UA researchers interested in gaining NSF support to attend.

The RDS NSF Career Preparation Program is conducted in two phases. Phase I, open to all interested participants, provides a series of introductory seminars and panels on the Career program and elements of the NSF proposal. Phase II, open to those that “commit to submit” a proposal due July 2015, provides customized guidance, mentorship, and review opportunities for the investigator.  Registration for Phase II requires submission of a letter of support from the department head by March 15, 2015 to ResDev at email.arizona.edu<http://arizona.us8.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=b6ba9388f9c749678c5f1628d&id=0de65f7c6c&e=db7a664467>.

The NSF Career Grant is a foundation-wide award, encompassing all directorates, and is the foundation's most prestigious early-career award.
