[Faculty] 2015 Research Innovation Challenge Winners

The Dean's Research Advisory Council (DRAC) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Research Innovation Challenge Pilot Grant competition.  The Research Innovation Challenge was held May14-15, 2015 as a mechanism to increase interdisciplinary communication among the faculty and to encourage cross disciplinary research endeavors.

Eight pilot project proposals were received. Each included faculty who had not previously collaborated on scholarly research. Projects were reviewed by an external committee and the top three ranked proposals are being funded for one year at $15,000.

Congratulations to the following awardees:

Dust Emission "Hotspots" in Drylands:  Resolving the Low Point Paradox through the lens of soil salinity and sodicity
