National Alliance for Accessible Golf - USGA Alliance Grants Program

Deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis

The National Alliance for Accessible Golf works to ensure the opportunity for all individuals with disabilities to play the game of golf. Through its USGA Alliance grants program, NAAG is accepting grant applications from organizations that provide golf programs for individuals with disabilities. NAAG is particularly interested in applications that demonstrate focus on inclusion of people with disabilities in programs that involve those without disabilities with the ultimate goal of enhancing their inclusion into the fabric of their communities. USGA Alliance grants rarely exceed $20,000.

American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine- Seed Funding Grants

Deadline: September 25, 2015

Through its Pedal-With-Pete awards program, the academy will award seed funding grants of up to $25,000 for the development of a high-quality, interdisciplinary, multi-investigator/center clinical research project/program in any area relevant to AACPDM. The award is expected to produce a competitive grant proposal for submission to larger agencies/funders and may be used to fund any of the elements necessary to develop the full grant proposal, including teleconferences or meetings of the collaborating team of investigators; methodologic/statistical support or consultation; preparation of applications for institutional ethics approval; support for investigators time; pilot project/feasibility studies in preparation for the project; and validation of outcome measures. Any AACPDM member is eligible to apply.

Autism Speaks - Family Services Local Grants
Deadline: September 28, 2015
Through the Autism Speaks Chapter, Regional and Neighborhood Grant programs, local organizations may apply for funding of up to $5,000. Autism Speaks places a significant focus on the end product of each proposal that will benefit the autism community beyond those participating in the program. Autism Speaks also seeks to ensure proposals provide opportunities for individuals with varying functioning levels. Careful consideration will also be given to proposals that specifically address the needs of underserved communities.

Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCORI) - Healthcare Research Grant
Deadline: October 1, 2015
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute is offering will award Grants of up to $250,000 over two years for projects that encourage active integration of patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders as integral members of the patient-centered outcomes research enterprise. Applications may be submitted by any private or public-sector organization, including any nonprofit or for-profit organization, or any unit of local, state, or federal government. Letters of Inquiry (LOI) should be submitted by the application deadline. Full proposal submissions are by invitation only, after review and approval of the LOI.

Ben & Jerry's Foundation - Proposals for Social and Environmental Justice Projects
Deadline: October 15, 2015 (Pre-applications)
Grants of up to $20,000 will be awarded to nonprofit grassroots community-organizing groups in the United States to further social and environmental justice and support sustainable and just-food systems. Grants can be used to support both program and operations costs. The foundation will only consider proposals from grassroots, constituent-led organizations with annual budgets under $500,000 that are using direct action, grassroots, and community-organizing strategies to accomplish their goals.

Japan Foundation - Proposals for Performing Arts Projects

The Japan Foundation is accepting proposals for touring and collaborative projects through its annual Performing Arts Japan program, which aims to increase access to Japanese performing arts in the United States and Canada. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations in the United States and Canada for projects that are designed to introduce Japanese performing arts to local audiences and educational and/or community outreach activities.

Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research - Therapeutics Development

Deadline: October 28, 2015

In an effort to stimulate development of Parkinson's disease therapeutics, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research<https://www.michaeljfox.org/> is accepting pre-proposals for its Therapeutic Pipeline Program. Although MJFF is open to any creative therapeutic strategy, ideal applications should focus on efforts to address one of the following treatment challenges: 1) disease-modifying strategies; 2) alpha-synuclein therapeutics; and 3) symptomatic strategies. Pre-proposals must be received no later than October 28, 2015. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by November 4, 2014. Full proposals must be received no later than January 20, 2016.

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) - Career Development Grants
Deadline: December 15, 2015
The American Association of University Women<http://www.aauw.org/> is awarding Grants of up to $12,000 to women who hold a bachelor's degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or re-enter the workforce. Awards with be provided to support course work beyond a bachelor’s degree, including a master’s degree, second bachelor’s degree, certification program, or specialized training in technical or professional fields. Funds are not available for doctorate-level work. Primary consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credential in a non-traditional field. Applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States whose last degree was received before June 30, 2011. Funds are available for tuition, fees, books, supplies, local transportation, and dependent care.

American Council of Learned Societies - Collaborative Research Fellowships

Deadline: September 23, 2015

Funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the aim of the program is to offer small teams of two or more scholars the opportunity to collaborate intensively on a single, substantive project. The fellowship supports projects that produce a tangible research product (such as a joint print or WQeb publication) for which two or more collaborators will take credit. The fellowships are for a total period of up to twenty-four months, to be initiated between July 1, 2016 and September 1, 2018, and provide up to $60,000 in salary replacement for each collaborator as well as up to $20,000 in collaboration.

Simons Foundation - Fellowships in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics

The Simons Foundation Division for Mathematics and the Physical Sciences invites applications for the Simons Fellows Programs in both Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The Fellows Programs provide funds to faculty for up to a semester long research leave from classroom teaching and administrative obligations. Through the programs, the foundation will award grants of up to $100,000 to university faculty in mathematics or theoretical physics for a semester-long research leave from classroom teaching and administrative obligations as a way to boost their creativity and/or provide intellectual stimulation.

American Psychological Association - Global Mental Health Fellowship
Deadline: September 30, 2015
The APA-IUPsyS Global Mental Health Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for a psychologist to spend one year in Geneva, Switzerland, at the World Health Organization (WHO), in the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. The fellow will focus on one or more issues related to the WHO Mental Health Action Plan. Although the program provides the opportunity to work at WHO on mental health issues, this program does not provide full funding for the fellowship year. The fellow will receive modest support for additional living costs in Geneva and related travel. This support is intended to supplement the fellow’s regular source of income. Funding for the fellowship will include US$30,000 for living expenses in Geneva and related travel. No salary funds are provided. It is anticipated that the fellow will bring institutional or other core funding.

Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Program in China Studies - Support for Early Career Scholars

Grants and fellowships of up to $50,000 will be awarded for projects designed to help maintain the vitality of China studies in the United States by providing support to scholars prior to and just after completion of their dissertations. The program offers three competitions: Pre-dissertation, Postdoctoral Fellowship, and Collaborative Reading-Workshop Grants. Applications in all disciplines of the humanities and related social sciences<javascript:DoNothing();> are welcome. The program supports the study of Chinese culture and society in all periods.

Zonta Anchorage - Amelia Earhart Fellowship

A $10,000 fellowship will be awarded to thirty-five women who are pursuing advanced studies in the typically male-dominated fields of aerospace-related sciences and engineering. Applicants must be women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree who demonstrate a superior academic record. The program aims to help talented women achieve their educational goals and enables them to invest in state-of-the-art computers to conduct their research, purchase expensive books and resource materials, and participate in specialized studies around the globe.
