[Faculty] Removal of Sensitive Data

Dear Faculty:

The University of Arizona ISO office is instituting a program campus 
wide to remove risks to sensitive data on faculty desktops, laptops and 
other devices. The program is called "Faculty Sensitive Data Cleanup". 
Attached you will find a sheet that describes recent exposure of student 
data and a very short questionnaire with remediation options. The 
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has been asked to complete the 
exercises on the attached document in a timely fashion. The most recent 
compromise cost a University department $20,000 in remediation. The 
following is a list of items that is considered critical data:

?Client Confidential Records

?Personally Identifiable Info

?FERPA (Student info (grades, ID))

?SSN (Social Security Number)

?PCI (Credit Card, personal or UA PCard)

?Employee Records (ID, Payroll)

?Research Data

?Financial Records (personal or UA)

?Driver's License

?Patient Health Records

?Human Subject Data

?University Confidential Data (http://security.arizona.edu/files/ISS302.pdf)

?Account Passwords

?Encryption Keys


I would appreciate your reviewing the checklist and disposing of 
sensitive data as instructed.
