<p class="MsoNormal">I know I’ve mentioned that FCHS are launching a Program Evaluation and Reporting System (PEARS) that is currently being used across 20 land-grant institutions and with 43 SNAP-Ed programs. As part of our training this week, Norma Lundeen,
from Michigan State, came in to give our staff and faculty a very quick overview of the system as they’ve used it in Michigan. I thought it would be helpful for you all to see it, too, so that you can support and encourage your FCHS teams as they learn to
use the system. It will be a while before the system will be able to give us complete data—these first few months will require some trial and error as we work on getting it tweaked for Arizona. I’m hoping that, by the second half of the year, we can tap
into some of the cool features shown here to allow you to see, in real time, the FCHS work happening in your county and across the state.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We see FCHS as the guinea pigs here—if it proves to be as useful as it’s been found to be in other states, it could be a system we consider Extension wide.<o:p></o:p></p>
