<p style="background:white"><span style="font-size:11.5pt;color:#201F1E">A new <a href="https://universitysecretary.arizona.edu/carnegie-community-engagement-classification" target="_blank">university-wide initiative</a> is underway to apply for the <a href="https://public-purpose.org/initiatives/carnegie-elective-classifications/community-engagement-classification-u-s/" target="_blank">Carnegie
Foundation Classification for Community Engagement</a> and formally recognize our impressive range of existing community-engagement practices. A diverse <a href="https://universitysecretary.arizona.edu/sites/default/files/Carnegie%20Working%20Group%20Members-2021.09.pdf" target="_blank">working
group</a> comprised of faculty, staff, and students across campus has formed and has begun the work needed to submit our application in April 2023.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
