<span style="font-size:18px"><span style="color:#000000">Dr. Teja Pristavec is a sociologist and a Research Assistant Professor of statistical sciences at the University of Virginia Biocomplexity Institute and Initiative (BII) Social and Decision Analytics
Division (SDAD). She obtained her BA in cultural studies at the University of Ljubljana and received her MA and PhD degrees from Rutgers University. Her research interests include spatial analysis, administrative data, quantitative methods, health, and inequality.
Her work has been published in the Journals of Gerontology Series B: Psychological and Social Sciences, The Gerontologist, Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Journal of Pain and Symptom Management, and Food, Culture, & Society. She is passionate about
