<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#050505;background:white">As you know, failure of pre- or a-symptomatic infected individuals to wear a mask is the most common reason worldwide for cluster outbreaks. This is an enormous risk for some
of our personnel. It is literally a life or death risk, and even if we want to discuss the actual size of the risk, many of our employees are feeling it as a life or death risk. One SARS-COV2+ person can shut down an entire facility and all its research resulting
in severe economic loss for other people. People who are not masking right now as I type, are making the majority very unhappy, driving distrust in the UA’s ability to keep them safe and the other people are refusing to come to work. Failure to wear a mask
when required by an employer is also a strong indicator of other “risky” behavior and correlates with higher risk of infection.
