<p class="MsoNormal">I heard that 4-H staff were well represented on the Youth Safety update today. Thank you for being in attendance, it is much appreciated. There were a couple of clarifications sought.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Supervision ratio:</b> 4-H has established a supervision ratio beyond Youth Safety. Please follow the 4-H guidance.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Breakout rooms:</b> The breakout room is within the Zoom meeting, and does not need two caring adults for each breakout room. The host does need to monitor the breakout rooms.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Care, Custody, and Control:</b> In virtual engagements it is important to share that we do accept care of a young person (ensuring a safe environment and we are not connecting youth to risks), yet we are unable to be in a position to
take custody or control of a youth. Imagine if a young person had a seizure, we could not do anything to get that young person to a hospital. Therefore parent custody and control is intact. We do not need to have parents sitting with the child on a Zoom meeting
but they need to know they retain custody and control of their child. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Video:</b> Standards have advanced for recording and sharing video of Zoom activities since COVID-19 changes have occurred. The video expectations have been clearly laid out in our guidance, and the AZ4-H QuaranTEEN Challenge videos
are being removed from the State 4-H Website because they no longer showcase best practice for mitigating youth risk.
