<p><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif;color:black">Good morning everyone and I hope you are all doing very well. I just saw the following notice on the Arizona Dept. of Agriculture’s (AZDA) website and thought it might pertain to many of you who hold
PMD certifications for the <u>structural pest control</u> services you perform. In recognition of the current COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in the cancellation of Continuing Education courses you might have planned to attend, the AZDA’s Pest Management
Division has kindly extended the May 31<sup>st</sup> certification renewal deadline to July 31<sup>st</sup>. Please see the notice below for more information and links.
<i>Special note: This doesn’t pertain to the December 31<sup>st</sup> renewal deadline for agricultural certified applicators. <o:p></o:p></i></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif;color:#002060">In consideration of social distancing, venue closings, and meeting cancellations in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Arizona Department of Agriculture is extending Applicator Certification
(CA and QA) expiration dates through July 31, 2020. This will provide the regulated community an additional 60 days to obtain the continuing education required to renew. Please check the Pest Management Division Website (<a href="https://opm.azda.gov/" target="_blank"><span style="color:#002060">https://opm.azda.gov/</span><span class="element-invisible"><span style="color:#002060;text-decoration:none">(link
is external)</span></span></a>) on a regular basis for updates.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif;color:#002060">Please understand this extension is a temporary measure for those Applicators whose certification(s) would normally expire May 31, 2020. Once renewed, Applicator expiration dates will revert back
to the standard May 31st date.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif;color:#002060">PLEASE NOTE - All Pest Management Division (PMD) hosted continuing education (CE) courses have been CANCELLED.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif;color:#002060">We encourage you to contact other CE providers including those provided by any pest control associations you may be a member of, pest control chemical suppliers, examination training providers,
and especially those who provide CE online. PMD-APPROVED ONLINE CE COURSES MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO OBTAIN CE FROM THE COMFORT AND SAFETY OF YOUR HOME OR OFFICE. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
