<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Garamond",serif">Three academic units submitted more than 25% of employees for increases. After internal review and discussion, requests greater than 25% of employees were returned and asked to
be prioritized. This process is about recognizing the highest performing individuals in the unit. This also comports with the Unit Head request to set aside 18.5% of funds for merit, and with the authorization we received from HR and Provost to continue
this process. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
