<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Good morning, I am very pleased to announce that a new CALS policy has been approved for posting by the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. This policy will guide the transfer of career-track (NTE) faculty to
tenure-track or continuing-track positions. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The procedure is straightforward – preparation of a dossier by the candidate, followed by a faculty vote in the candidate’s home department, followed by transfer of the dossier and vote results to the dean,
then provost.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Please take note of the bolded statement near the bottom of page 1 – this policy is to be enacted only under
<b><span style="color:#2E75B6;mso-style-textfill-fill-color:#2E75B6;mso-style-textfill-fill-alpha:100.0%">exceptional and rare circumstances</span></b>. Following that statement, examples of such circumstances are provided.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
