The 2019 Agricultural Research Congressional Exhibition and Reception will be held at the Rayburn House Office Building Cafeteria from
<b>5:00 to 7:30 PM</b> on <b>May 15, 2019.</b> Also, a small number of exhibitors may be asked to participate in additional congressional events to complement the evening’s agriculture exhibition and reception.</p>

The <b>objective of the event</b> is to promote the value and importance of food, agricultural, and natural resources research, extension, and education to Congress and the administration. This creates a venue to showcase the breadth of agriculture researchers’
fantastic innovations.</p>

Each exhibitor (or team) will be afforded a six-foot-wide space and a table. Exhibitors must use free-standing pop-up style posters, as poster boards will not be available and there will be no other means to display traditional posters. We welcome the participation
of USDA-supported exhibitors from all career stages, from graduate students to tenure-equivalent researchers from academic, government, corporate, and private research institutions.
<em>Again, all exhibits must showcase USDA-funded research.</em></p>

At the 2018 Agricultural Research Congressional Exhibition & Reception, seven members of Congress, including then–House Agriculture Research Subcommittee Chairman Rodney Davis (IL-13), then Ranking Member of House Ag Appropriations, and USDA Research, Education,
and Economics (REE) agency leadership interacted with 36 agriculture research exhibitor teams representing institutions across the country, diverse disciplinary areas, and all of the USDA REE agencies. This event continues to be a success and has a positive
effect on congressional members and staff.</p>
