Colleagues,

I have received official notification of my appointment to the CALS Cabinet representing the County Extension Directors and county Cooperative Extension professionals. My first meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 9 and I plan to be in attendance. Where confidentiality allows, it will be my procedure to keep you as much as I can up to date with proceedings and with discussions that impact each of us. I invite your feedback and suggestions at all times.

In addition, Susan Pater, Kurt Nolte and I have been asked to participate in a visioning process which is another part of CALS21. I know that we all have been heavily engaged in the past weeks with Phase II discussions and reports, but the three of us see this visioning process as another key event in the development of the future vision for CALS and for Cooperative Extension. Attached is the worksheet off which we are working and we wanted to give you a chance to provide feedback to us as we go into the process. I do not think that we will be asked for programmatic details in this. I envision feedback that will be of a more broad and general nature, but if you feel differently, please fill out the form as you best see fit.

We need this back in a relatively short time period, the middle of next week if you can.

Thanks for your help in all of this,

Rick

--
Richard Gibson
Extension Agent, Agriculture
