Dear Heads of Departments and Schools,

Happy New Year!

The UA Foundation's Foundation Relations (FR) Team is coordinating a university-wide strategy for connecting with private foundations at upcoming "Climate Week" events in major cities around the US. Climate Weeks are always well-attended by major climate funders, such as Rockefeller, Gordon and Betty Moore, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and our FR team will be attending to help connect UA PIs to relevant program officers. There are no guarantees of funding, of course, but the FR team is extremely helpful in supporting PI relationships with foundations and keeping them moving toward funding.

Our (ALVSCE) Development Team is seeking to get in touch with any faculty that plan to participate so that we can help facilitate these relationships. Will you please forward this note to your respective faculty and ask them to email me if they are planning to participate or are interested in participating? If you know of any specific individuals that will participate, I'd appreciate a direct referral, as well.

The FR Team will be holding a UA-wide strategy meeting at 2:00 on 1/14/25, and I will see that any faculty who want to attend receive an invite. Please encourage any participants to contact me by 1/10/2025.
