Subject: Grant directives from federal agency personnel

Dear CALES Unit Heads,

Please remind your faculty and research staff to forward to me any communications that they have received from funding agency personnel (program managers, agency directors, etc.) that have directed them to pause work or spending on one or more aspects of a federal grant or contract as a result of federal orders (e.g., DEI activities).  I need to have this information as, along with other ADRs in other colleges, we are developing an overall assessment of the impacts on UA research programs.

I am also available to meet with faculty or staff in person or by Zoom to discuss if they prefer.  Just have them reach out to me if they wish to do that.
