Dear Directors,

I am considering forming a State Advisory Board for UA Cooperative Extension. As I understand, we once had one, but it was disbanded before I took this position. I believe it may be time to reinstate the board.

We should have at least one representative from each county and possibly from our centers.

Therefore, please reply with the names of your advisory board members. I will work with our EAC team and our Government Relations team to identify potential members for the state advisory board. I will contact each of you before extending invitations to anyone in your county or center to get your input. If you wish, when you send the names of your advisory board members, you can also recommend one or two candidates. As an FYI - the board will meet twice a year, once in Phoenix and once in Tucson, with a Zoom option. If your office has several advisory boards (4-H, TVF, etc.), please send me the names of all members and again, a recommendation or two, if you have any.

Please send me this information by Monday, August 11.

I've attached a draft handbook (very draft-please do not share, as it has not been reviewed) and the guidance form that ALVSCE uses for members to sign. These are for your reference only.

Thank you,

Ed
