[CED/CD/EAT] Call for Nominations: ALVSCE Strategy Working Group Faculty Representatives

Hello Extension Faculty,

The Division of Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension (ALVSCE) Faculty Council is accepting nominations for four faculty representatives to serve on the new ALVSCE Strategy Working Group, a standing committee that will recommend priorities and strategies for the College of Agriculture, Life, and Environmental Sciences (CALES) and Cooperative Extension (CE). This is a valuable opportunity to help shape the future direction of CALES and CE, and I encourage eligible Extension faculty to apply. As you’ll read below, at least one member of the working group must be a CES faculty member.

Requirements

  *   Hold at least a 0.50 FTE ALVSCE faculty appointment
  *   Willing to serve a staggered two-year term (two initial appointees will serve one-year terms)
  *   At least one representative must be CES faculty
  *   Representatives may serve unlimited consecutive terms
  *   One representative will act as liaison to the ALVSCE Faculty Council

Working Group Composition (13 members total)

  *   4 faculty (selected by Faculty Council)
  *   4 staff (selected by Staff Council)
  *   3 administrators (appointed by the CALES Dean)
  *   2 unit heads (appointed by the CALES Dean)

Responsibilities

The group advises the Vice President for ALVSCE on divisional strategy and budget in pursuit of the ALVSCE vision and missions.

Deadline

Submit applications by 11:59 pm on April 30, 2025. Initial appointments will begin in Fall 2025.

The Faculty Council will review all submissions and select representatives who bring diverse perspectives and experience across the division.
