[CED/CD/EAT] URGENT: Heads Up

Dear CEDs,

Heads up - there is an email being circulated asking counties to give a general description of the space allocated for Extension and whether that space includes kitchens, meeting rooms, etc. Apparently, a county wants to limit its contributions to only providing office space.

They are also asking whether Extension pays rent or a lease fee for such facilities.

They want the information by tomorrow.

I would just like to make sure all of you, if asked, remind our County Supervisors of all the good work we do within our counties, including the educational programs, demonstration gardens, food preservation programs, youth development programs, etc. All of these utilize our Extension facilities, requiring more than just office space for Extension personnel.

I know you know more than me about what your office provides to your county.
