Good afternoon,
On the last monthly CED Meeting, Ed mentioned the CENTRL newsletter and below I've included the most recent one that went to all interested constituents. It generally goes out monthly and in the spring close to our March 15 annual application deadline more regularly. If you are interested in receiving it or have colleagues that would be good candidates for next year's application class, you can send them to www.centrl.org<http://www.centrl.org> and on the home page click "Join our Interest List" which links to this google form: https://forms.gle/taBeHwmBjEQF37eaA

Finally, the event list I mentioned that are open to everyone is here: https://centrl.org/events
Thanks and I hope you all have great weeks.
Scott

Diamond6 Leadership has been transforming our national seminar in Gettysburg, PA since 2021 with Class 28. They translate leadership lessons from military times of crisis into everyday situations through dynamic, interactive team-based learning. Diamond 6 Leadership will join us in an event open to Class 33, all alumni, friends, family and recruits to Project CENTRL.

December 7th, 1941 is an iconic date marking the attack on Pearl Harbor. The actions of leaders on both sides of this historic battle made the difference in the turn of events on that day, for better or for worse. During this leadership workshop, a leadership facilitator and Pearl Harbor historian will examine key aspects of the attack and leadership lessons that apply as much to us today as they did on that fateful Sunday morning. As a participant you will have collaborative discussions with leaders from across Arizona. The day concludes with an active discussion about how all leaders can learn from the good and the bad leadership decisions made on this historic date.

Meet Class 33

Class 33 spent September 19-21, 2024 in beautiful Show Low, AZ learning about Natural Resources and the Rural Economy. The class was provided information about Arizona's use of water, rangelands, forestry and energy. Bruce Vincent, a logger from Montana started the weekend with discussions on activism to preserve rural America. The class traveled to Novo Power Plant to learn about the renewable energy company utilizing wood waste as a primary fuel source. The class had an opportunity to walk through rangeland and forest tours. The final day the class heard from the Arizona Beef Council, a panel of ranchers and heard the history of X Diamond Ranch with Wink Crigler. The first day of the seminar Mikayla Baker and Travis Lilly (pictured above) presented information on the native tribes that have traditionally called this area their home. Travis has deep roots in Agriculture dating back to his Grandfather's time growing hay, chili and cotton. He graduated from New Mexico State University (NMSU) with Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 2010, while being an active member of the collegiate rodeo team. He continued his education with NMSU and graduated with a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Agribusiness in May of 2012.

Travis currently lives with his wife, Cary, in Willcox, AZ where they are part of the family cow-calf ranch operation located in Greenly County, AZ. Travis has been actively serving the agriculture community in Southeast Arizona for 12 years. He currently works as a Relationship Manager for AgWest Farm Credit located in Safford, AZ. As a member of the AgWest Farm Credit team, Travis works to provided capital to Agriculture operations across rural Arizona.

In his idle time, Travis enjoys helping with the family ranch operation, riding & training horses, as well as hunting Arizona big game. He is currently a volunteer Hunter's Education instructor for Arizona Game & Fish and has been part of the Farmer Veteran Coalition grant review team for multiple years.

Please welcome Travis to Project CENTRL community.
