Subject: Spending Limit Impacts to Programs and Stakeholders Extension
Dear Directors,
VP Burgess has requested that I gather information on how the current Spending Authority and limited access to Extension accounts have impacted our Extension programming and the impact this is having on our stakeholders. The link to the BOX folder is here<https://arizona.box.com/s/8f89xaqsnfxgpf0btpc0v2svwuusc4nr>.
Please take a look at the Pima County tab, which has already been populated due to a request from our ALVSCE Staff Council. I ask that you share this with your pertinent faculty and staff to get as much information as possible.
I am well aware of the current challenges of the Spending Authority cap and limited access to Extension funds. You may spend as much time on this as you see fit but I would ask that you at least list the major impacts in your Extension programming. Please have this completed by Wednesday, November 27th, but the file will remain available after that date if you want to add additional information as issues arise. Again, I am well aware that we could literally list hundreds across the state and academic units, and if that is your choice, then do so. I will be sharing this information with VP Burgess to help him inform senior leadership.
As always, I appreciate everyone’s support as we work through these unprecedented challenges in UA Cooperative Extension.
Regards,
Ed
