CONGRATULATIONS!  We’ve successfully completed all public listening sessions!  Thank you to everyone for all your efforts in traveling and facilitating these sessions!  We’re sure to get some great information to inform our overall strategic plan and strongly positioning us for the next 5-10 years and beyond.  There’s still a lot of work to do on this, but we’ve completed a major milestone on this journey and I wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for everything you’ve done!

Mitch and I will set up a Zoom meeting with the group in the next week or so (we will record for those unable to attend).  In this Zoom, we will provide some next steps and expectations for our 2nd Retreat here on campus June 26-28.  If you haven’t already done so, please be sure to connect with Sandra for any lodging needs.  Watch for that Zoom invite next week.

It’s been a pleasure getting to work with each of you on this very critical project!  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning from all your perspectives – from our longtime and grizzled Extension veterans to our newish-to-Extension go-getters – it’s been valuable working alongside you and I hope you recognize the value you’re bringing to this initiative.  😊

CEDs, thank you for welcoming us into your communities and trusting us with your employees and community partners (for those counties we were able to schedule).  Also, thank you for supporting your personnel on this committee.  I’ve heard some mention that they feel they can fully engage because of your support.

As mentioned, we still have a lot of work to do, but we’re in a good place to take a breath before pushing through to deliver.  More to come, but just a brief update.
