The University of Arizona, Yavapai County Cooperative Extension and the Pesticide Safety Education Program will present a FREE Pesticide Applicator Pre-Certification Training for people preparing for either the Arizona Agricultural or Structural Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Exams. The 1 ½ day course will be held in Prescott, Arizona on October 19th and 20th. Additional information is available on the attached 2-page flyer. Attendance is limited to 30 people and the pre-registration deadline is Friday, October 13, 2023. If you are interested in attending, please complete the pre-registration form on page 2 of the attached flyer and send it to Sierra Sheeks, ssheeks at arizona.edu<mailto:ssheeks at arizona.edu> at the Yavapai County Cooperative Extension Office.

Optional Exams Event for Arizona Agricultural Pesticide Applicator Certifications
As an added bonus, The Arizona Department of Agriculture's Ag Consultation and Training Program will hold an optional Arizona Agricultural Pesticide Applicator Certification Exams Event for people who would like to use Restricted Use Pesticides (RUPs) in agricultural production areas. This event is also limited to 30 participants. If you are interested in participating, please complete the separate "Prescott Exams Event" registration form attached to this email and send it to Roberto Rios, rrios at azda.gov<mailto:rrios at azda.gov> If you have questions about the exams event and/or the various exam categories listed on the form, please contact Roberto Rios by phone (602) 542-0985.

Update on Registration for Previously Promoted Courses:

Sept. 12th - "Are you ready for an inspection?" Course
9:00 a.m. - Noon in Maricopa
We will use a large training room and therefore there are plenty of spaces left in this 3-hour, 3 CEU course. This is the new and improved version of our first attempt at the course as a 2-hour breakout session during the Yuma Ag Summit. This time there will be more topics, more time, more resources, and much more fun. Attendees will receive information, resources, and tools to help them better understand and comply with Arizona's pesticide-related laws and regulations. If you know you'll be swamped and can't get away that day, you're welcome to send someone in your place, such as a safety manager, family member, foreman, pesticide handler, office manager, etc. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please RSVP by sending an email to jennyweber at arizona.edu<mailto:jennyweber at arizona.edu> or calling me at (602) 827-8222 (landline without text message capabilities). I want to make sure we have enough handouts printed for everyone. If you need a copy of the flyer with directions to the Maricopa Ag Center, please let me know.

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. each day in Phoenix
