[CED/CD/EAT] Lactation space funding

Good morning all,

We do not have a place to devote to this either, as in Yavapai, many in my office were willing to offer up their offices when needed.  I would like to get a small designated refrigerator to go into the conference room for milk storage.

Hi, Ed:

I am fully supportive of this and we will have a lactation space in the new Yavapai County office. For now, we are really lacking space. I met with staff and they said they have given up their private offices when needed by a staff member or the public. So, we will continue this way for now.

I have been aware that the county offices have not fully taken advantage of this opportunity to apply for funding for lactation spaces. I understand in some cases, you are a resident of a county complex. However, others may be able to renovate existing space or purchase a Mamava<https://www.mamava.com/>. Below is the original email sent out by Christy Suth (Area Agent, Coconino and Mohave Counties), who is coordinating these requests for Extension.

There is still time to submit your request (https://uarizona.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2beM8Udt6OTWY3c). Please do so ASAP - this week ASAP.

As part of the suite of family friendly and diversity and inclusion programs, Human Resources and University Initiatives have announced funding for increased lactation space on and off campus. Funding can be used to renovate existing space or to purchase Mamava<https://www.mamava.com/> Pods. Rhegan Derfus, Jeff Ratje, and I have been asked by VP Burgess to coordinate the submission process for ALVSCE.

If you are interested, please have someone from your location complete the Qualtrics survey below no later than February 15th. If you represent more than one site/county/building, please complete one survey for each location.

Funding is limited and we are competing on the merits of each application. This is year one of a two-part funding program. Rhegan, Jeff, and I will coordinate with you and your building manager to put our best applications forward.
