The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in Maricopa County is searching for the perfect person to deliver Agricultural STEM programs, resources, curriculum support, and technical assistance to educational professionals.

The Assistant in Extension, Agricultural STEM position will be based out of the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension office in Phoenix. The following list highlights the position's roles, responsibilities, and activities.   *   Develops and enhances program to address, improve, and enhance consumer understanding, awareness, and knowledge of agriculture by training educators to teach agricultural curricula in schools in Maricopa County and statewide.
  *   Oversees the Arizona Agricultural Literacy Days, a month-long venture each year that takes volunteers into the classroom to present and discuss the diversity of Arizona agriculture.
  *   Organizes, plans, and implements Summer Agricultural Institute to educate teachers to develop and advance an appreciation for Arizona agriculture.
  *   Develops and facilitates in-person and virtual workshops, seminars, clinics, meetings, field days, or conferences with high impact on program and/or participants; coordinates logistics, scheduling, and participant communications; assesses and tracks success of each engagement.
  *   Develops, collects, and uses community needs and assets data to create and deliver appropriate programmatic responses and actions.
  *   Maintains high ethical and professional standards.
  *   Works closely with 4-H Youth Development programs to identify and engage schools in Maricopa County.
  *   Assesses, measures, monitors, or reports data to support Maricopa County.
  *   Collaborates with UArizona faculty and professionals, external public and private institutions, agencies, and organizations locally, regionally, and nationally.
  *   Communicates with clientele and peers through a variety of media including print publications, peer-reviewed journal articles, email listservs, and social media.
  *   Promotes public understanding and support for Extension and University programs.
  *   Other duties as assigned.
